Chocolates are my favorite. They are my weakness. Chocolates makes my day. I gives me energy when I'm tired (this is scientifically true) and stressed. Especially dark chocolate. Not only they are healthier, I like their taste too. There is something from its bit of bitterness that I'm craving. I also like Japanese chocolates and the Belgian chocolate. They tastes really good!
On our way home, I was listening to my mp3s and one of my favorite song from one of my favorite movie played: Don’t You Forget About Me performed by the Simple Minds. The song is so cool as well as the movie. I’m still having goosebumps whenever I hear the song. It still sounds fresh even though it was released 27 years ago. This is one of the anthem of the 80’s and became immortal.
The movie The Breakfast Club is a teen movie in the 80’s. It is a John Hughes film which stars Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy. The movie’s story happened within one day when the lead characters met the serve their detention that started on Saturday morning (7am) and stayed for 8 hours.
The story evolved in how they dealt with each other. Although they’re not totally stranger from each other, but they have their own peers; Andrew (Emilio Estevez) is a school athlete, Allison (Ally Sheedy) is a basket case, Claire (Molly Ringwald) is a pricess, John (Judd Nelson) is a criminal, and Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) is a brain. You can imagine how totally different personalities will mix inside detention within 8 hours.
This movie is full of entertainment and moral values. This makes you look back and reminisce how good are teen movies in the 80’s compare to teen movies of today where you can hear nothing but f*ck and sh*t and see nothing but naked teen agers.
I will never forget the song and the movie. They are both classic and marvelous.
Having a trip to space is included in my bucket list. Although I know it is next to impossible, but it's still my desire to have a trip to space.
I always marvel on God's works. I admire His craftiness through the majestic mountains, the vast sea and the sun taking refuge on it with the reddish background, the small raindrops that falls on my window and the sound of crickets in the night. By these small things that people considered as a normal, usual daily occurrences, I can see God's might on them. What more if I see the moon, the galaxies, nebula, our neighbor planets, and our home, earth, from the distance, with my naked eyes! These things are so vast that compared to them, we will look like a speck of dust in the universe.
I experienced a lot of bike accidents. I like riding bikes. There’s are times that I slid on a slippery road, and there are crashes with another vehicles too. I’m really blessed to still walk and move normally.
However, there is this two accidents that I consider as as worst and it given me an almost fatal injury. The first was I was driving on a left-turning road. This turning road is a bit narrow and the coming vehicles are not visible because of the building on the corner. So if the two vehicles of the opposite lanes approaching the corner don’t take extra care, they’ll absolutely crash with each other, or somewhere else if one of them will turn to avoid the other vehicle. And that’s what happened to me. I collided with this vehicle, a police mobile. When I saw the vehicle, I still attempt to avoid it by turning right but it’s too late. The bumper hit my left leg. It hurts so much that I sit and hold my leg on the road and stayed there for minutes. My bike is a bit crashed but still manageable. Just minutes after that, my leg swelled. I got an internal bleeding and it felt like my leg was filled up with water and it’s really painful. This ordeal took one month.
The other accident happened a year ago, still from the bike. I was driving my bike on a subdivision in an early morning. I was trailing behind this vehicle (an L300 Toyota). I swear I was not that close to it. But when we reached this turning road (again), the driver stopped and it reversed, without looking on his rear view and side mirrors. I also attempted to avoid being hit by turning my bike left, but it was too late (again), and I was hit. Although it was not fast and a hard hit, because it was on a reverse, but my ankle was squeezed between the vehicle’s bumper and my bike. And realizing that he hit something behind him, he stopped, with my ankle stacked. I thought it was just a bruise but when we reached the hospital, the doctor did an eleven stitches on my ankle.
And by the way, it was four days before my wedding. But I still managed to walk on the aisle.
The most destructive force to mankind is his own heart. All of our sin starts from the heart. Our heart creates desires and desires sparks sins; the desire of power, the desire of flesh, the desire of recognition, the desire of wealth. This is the method Satan used to tempt Jesus. The tells us about guarding our heart. It is not guns, nature and illness that destroys mankind. Guns and killings are just a product of our sinful heart while if we have a loving heart, it will glow in times of calamities, disasters and illness. If I could say anything to anyone, I will try my best to convert Osam Bin Laden to Christianity. I will say to him that everyone is entitled for forgiveness. I will do my best to share him the love of Jesus and what He has done for us.
I like the idea of time travel. I'm really curious about it. Maybe it is because I like history too. I'm curious what it was like in the past. If it is possible for me to travel time, I would like to go to the time of Jesus. I would like to know what it was like to live 2,000 years ago. I would like to see His face and what does He looks like and I would like to hear His voice also. I would like to know Him physically, and be a witness to those who do not believe.
There are lots of things that I would like to get a supply for a lifetime like movie passes, clothing from a known brand, store discounts or a specific food. But I think the most significant for me this time would be gas. These times, gas is gold!
On the lighter side, I would like to get an unlimited supply of chocolates.
I remember when I was in college. My cousin is celebrating her 18th birthday that day and she's going to have a party that night. It was a stormy day that day and after the school hours, I rushed and got the bus to get home early for the party (our home is 10 miles from my school). But after a while, I realized that we're on the middle of a long traffic, a seven mile traffic! I spend that stormy night inside the bus for 10 hours! But I made still made it to the party!
I like sharing thoughts and discussions. I don't pretend to be knowledgeable if I really don't have an idea or knowledge about the topic. I really like to go deep on every details on every discussions.
But my favorite topic of discussion is about religion or Christianity. Although this is a broad and a possible endless topic, but if everyone would have an open mind, no such things that couldn't be settled. Another reason why I like to discuss religion is to share to people my little knowledge and inspiration.
I even set-up a site where I can publicize my thoughts and let the people discover some things about Christianity. http://www.thelivingbread.wordpress.com
I've always been a music lover and I'm a fan of rock music. I listen to different genres such as 70s rock (Led Zeppelin, The Eagles), 80s (U2, REM, The Cure), Glam Rock (Guns N Roses, Motley Crue), Thrash Metal (Metallica, Megadeth), 90s (Staind, The Cranberries, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring). Except lately that I haven't caught up with the current music genre such as Emo rocks and others.
Yes. To avoid or correct mistakes done. I'm kind of a perfectionist and I don't like mistakes and failure. There will surely be problems in some areas in my life in the future and I would like to fix it or at least be ready for it if it is beyond my control.
I would also try to collect lottery numbers. =)
My favorite reading spot would be in my bed. I like to lie down while reading. And my favorite writing spot would be 1) in a coffee shop, because I could get more ideas from the environment and people around me. 2) the balcony, because it relaxes my mind and I have the view on top of everything and get more inspirations.
